e90 center console removal help

So far I have the entire center console detached from the car, the only problem now is that I can't take it out because the E brake is in the way.

I read somewhere that I am able to pull the E brake even higher than what it can go but to no avail I am unable to

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

I found this post on an interior carpet removal DIY and it shows how to remove the center console and e brake (and pretty much everything else).

Any posts that show how to remove the shifter from my 2011 335is? It has the electronics on it, manual mode, park etc.
