I'm trying to bl***y upload my interior pics but I keep getting a "fatal error" out of memory or something. I'll try again a few more times or start a new thread or something. I've got jade grey leather with poplar grain grey trim.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Here are the pics. Anyone- feel free to upload the pics to the forum directly (if you can be bothered) os they don't somehow disappear. I spent ages trying to upload them here but the forum doesn't like my mac or my mac doesn't like the forum. Anyway- enjoy.

Looks hot, I like it with the light interior colour as well. I've got popular grey on black and think it's the best trim colour.

The car looks fantastic If you go with the piggyback system let us know what you think, your not worried about warranty?

I'm still waiting for a reply from Shiv about software maps for 95 and 98 octane fuel. The system can be completely installed/removed in 15 mins (eg before a service at the dealership). Also the system works by fooling the car computer into thinking that all is well and within normal operating limits (such as boost and air/fuel mix) but also doesn't disable failsafes so that you can't wreck the car (unless you try really hard). According to some BMW engineers the 335 was tuned to much less than its full potential (to stop it competing with the M3 too much). Force fed engines are so easy to modify and increase the state of tune.....:rocks:

Yeah agree totally that anything that comes with FI to begin with is easily bumped up in hp when the aftermarket gets involved. I understand how the system works its runs in conjunction with the DME and only controls limited features. Although I suppose BMW could only void certain things if they found out (IE owner didn't remove unit etc) not warranty of the entire car.

Be interested to see someone locally get this unit, or something else on the market later and hear their views on it . You thinking of getting an LSD for it from Drexler to put all that extra power to the ground?

At first I was upset when I heard that a car like this wasn't going to be fitted with LSD as standard (It's as powerful as the E46 M3 for god's sake!) and then upset again when told that it wouldn't be offered as an option either. A pure cynical marketing decision by BMW to prevent cannibalizing new M3 sales. But then I thought, I won't be doing any track work in it and LSD is really only important when powering out of corners or in the wet. And the DTC, DSC are really pretty good for daily driving (with a little squirt now and again, and again, and again ). Since then I haven't really thought about it and I don't want to mechanically alter the stock car at this stage (maybe dump the RFTs when they wear out). How about you? You gonna alter a new, near perfect car?

I'm in the same boat as you. I don't want to mechanically alter a stock car. Some of my cars are pretty extensively modified and the 335's such a great car to jump in and go in whatever conditions as it is. Early morning or peak hour, on the freeways or a blat somewhere. The M's much more engaging to drive and has a sportier feel to it and the modified one's you can't compare. But the 335's an nice, functional place to be.

But no, I don't think I'd do any suspension work, or do the LSD etc. I wouldn't mind the ECU tweak at some point and maybe an exhaust but I think that'd be it, as such I'd probably keep the RFT for the convenience and not run them on anything else. It's a competent enough car out of the box as it is I agree, I think not offering the LSD even as an option is pretty stupid and agree on BMW's motives. However I suppose Porsche has done it with the Cayman as well.

Only complaint has been trying to keep the k's down on it though I'm sure your the same!

Fortunately, the k's issue is not too bad for me as I live close to work and don't have to sit in peak hour traffic. As a daily driver, for me, it's perfect.
I dont have the space or money to have a car to modify and play with and if I did get a second car it would be for camping and fishing so a 4wd is on my eventual wish list (anyone say new X5? I wish..)

Yeah I was in Melbourne over the weekend and appreciate how well structured the city is for transport be it car, tram, bus or bike. I saw a lot of punters getting around on their carbon fibre gear on Sunday and was mightly envious! Melbourne has it all over Sydney for cyclists and public transport.

I've put on 440km in 2 days!! Annualised, that makes almost 80,000km in one year! I'm sure the new car excitement will wear out and it'll be down to 15km/day!! (7.5km to work each way!)
