Question Anyone selling a BMW E30 in the Tri State area?

Hey everyone,

I had an e30 about a year back but sold it due to overheating problems. That being said, I miss my old e30 and want another one as a winter car/daily driver. I am looking for a late model (88-91) with plastic bumpers and a 5-speed transmission.

I've searched on several different forums for one (bimmerforums, r3vlimited, e30tech, craigslist, etc.) but have had no luck so far. I figure it can't hurt to see if any of you guys are selling one since we are all bmw enthusiasts anyway.

I am located in Long Island but willing to travel a good distance if the car is really worth it.

My budget is around $1500-$2000 max.

I know this is probably a long shot, but if you do have anything please contact me!

Thats it

Road trip it! I bought my E28 535 from Orlando and flew down, bought it and roadtripped back with my girlfriend. Spent a week driving up the coast, stopped in at some relatives and some friends places, took the BMW factory tour and the mueseum in SC.

It was the best vacation i have done to thia date. I love driving!

Also, you wont find anything decent around here for that price. Im a stickler for working heat and AC....and most cars here are rust buckets and in need of lots of repair from being neglected....all the while asking too much money and not budging on the price.

I walked away from 5 e30s and 4 e28s before i got mine. Took me almost a year of looking.

I agree, most e30's in that price range around here are junk. I wanted one but it's not worth paying what people want for them when you can get a much newer accord or camry for the same price in excellent shape.

The road trip idea could work out considering I have a 2.5 week break from school anyway. I sent him an email.

And regarding the e30's around here, I totally agree. Everything I've found so far has been a heap of shit with high miles and tons of problems. I lucked out with my previous e30 318is who I bought from my old boss. Sold it to me for $500 with 168k on the clock, car was in great shape... best deal of my life.
