OK here is some free advice, you can run Syndiesel straight in your engines with the addition of a lubricity additive (any one will work). Your engines will sense the higher cetane and make the appropriate adjustments.

These engines run best on 52-55 cetane diesel which is not readily available here. You can assume that our diesel is 40 cetane, so you can have 34% pump diesel and 66% Syndiesel to make 55 cetane (approx).

How about you guys get organized into a class and I will throw in some swag for prizes?

This is very cool - I might just buy one of these to have my racing project manager, Greg Hogue send our driver Jordan Leighton, to see how she can do in just a 1/4 mile.

See us next at the Houston Half Mile Land Speen event, May 12th.

Jess

After reading this I ran a 60/40 mix with no additive

No Syndiesel is not a lubricity additive it just increases the cetane count-its a race fuel for diesels. If you are adding it to diesel fuel you dillute the lubricity additive in the diesel fuel which adversly impacts the wear scar score. Add a lubricity additive like Power Service or the like when using this product.

What lubricant should I use to run it straight? Any thoughts on power increase straight vs. blended? Will try when my tank gets low, I still have 5 gal left.

Personally I would look at 100% biodiesel. Add enough to reach B2 concentration and call it a day.

Most any will do. Power Service Diesel Klien is usually readily available at most auto parts stores. Bio diesel is excellent too. If you're interested in a comparison test do a search I posted a lubricity additive test on here a while back.
