Wtb: Decent Intercooler

Hey guys. Just after a half decent cooler, its just a weekend cruiser and will have the odd 1/4 mile runs! I will be full bolt on's soon and want to run 50% E85. Im after either 5,6 or 7 inch from Cobb, Ams, Cpe, Vrsf, Hpf, Bms etc
Let me know what you have, or if you have any better idea's as im fairly new to turbo Bemma's, many thanks.

most are just redesigned from other companies. i think dont buy it until you see actual numbers with something like this.

i know this might be a bit more expensive but i have one and i can vouch for the build quality. its a pita to install but its worth it in the end. dont worry about the shipping fee. email the boys and ask them to ship via usps. tell them Nate with the Orange piping recommended you.

Thanks naynay. Ive checked out Steets cooler before, very nice but maybe a bit more than i need out of a cooler. I only plan on having a full bolt on & dont plan on upgrading turbos & engine internals etc.
I have attached pics of BMR's stepped intercooler. Any thoughts, or anyone else using a BMR cooler with some feedback on this cooler?

I didnt know it was so expensive for you guys.

There are many options esp. With or without stock piping. I like the stepped 5inch ones.

I saw a nice one on ebay for less than $400.

Yes the exchange rate for the Australian dollar is really crap at the moment making everything in the US fairly expensive!
The pics i just posted of the cooler i can get in Australia looks almost identical to the VRSF one in the US (except australian one has those original quick release intercooler piping clip things). Price delivered for VRSF is $680AUD, or BMR style is $895AUD

From personal exp. vrsf products are questionable, fit and function.

I like the ones that retain stock piping and your photos up there looks good. I saw a stepped one on ebay, stepped one at a great price. May be i can find a link.

Glad you had a decent experience. Just installed their CP this weekend and a bad experience. The tpms sensor hole was 1mm small than stock, which was enough that the sensor and oring wouldnt go in. Had to find a smaller oring and wrap it with teflon tape to get it in.

Also have their 7 inch fmic and that was a pain to install esp. Without the stock piping.

Umm I got their charge pipe and it fit perfectly. It is supposed to be snug so that it seals properly.

...or maybe you just shouldn't be fitting your tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) in your charge pipe.

Edit: I've also got their down pipes, cone filters and 7 inch intercooler. All fit and function properly.

VRSF might not be the deluxe brand for anything, but so far everything I've bought has just fit right on.

this one is a little outside your budget but you get what you pay for. This FMIC is one of the best I seen.

That's a Wagner copy, compare the two side by side and you'll notice they're almost identical

I'd recommend an intercooler that doesn't use the OEM connectors, we used to sell both and the OEM connectors proved to be a large enough restriction to discontinue. The OEM connectors end up necking down to a little less than 2".
