Spacer Lug Bolts

Hi all. I'm running a 10mm spacer up front and a 5mm spacer in the rear. I keep reading that you can use the factory lug bolts for up to 5mm spacer, but what if I want to buy a new set of lug bolts? Would the lug bolts for the 10mm spacers be a problem for the 5mm spacers (I'm not too familiar with the mechanics of the discs & rotors). When I purchased my two sets of H&R 10mm spacers, they sent me extended lug bolts but they were in grey and they seem to be much more than 10mm longer than the factory lug bolts.

So... what is the factory length on the lug bolts so I can look to see about finding some lug bolts that are only 10mm longer or is that not going to happen?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Take one of your bolts out and measure? Then buy bolts 5 and 10mm longer than those. For the price of bolts absolutely do not run 5mm spacers on standard bolts.

Thanks, but I kinda figured that one out on my own. Problem is that I live in a small town, so I didn't want to walk into our tire shops and ask for something that doesn't exist. I was at work and didn't have the time to research it so I thought I might get a quick answer.

Thanks for the input. I do appreciate it.

I couldn't even think of a physical shop I could walk in to and buy specific size wheel bolts in the UK, definitely nothing within an hours drive. Just order everything online.

Yeah, I started looking and realized that's prob what I'm gonna have to do. Or I could just take a 2 1/2 hour drive to LA. It's a beautiful day and she is running great right now. But then again, that may not be a good idea as I may walk out with a whole new set of Avant-Garde M510s and that is just too much of a temptation!!

I know from experience that a bolt made for an 18mm spacer fits just fine with no spacer.

Cool. Then I should be able to get a full set of 10mm extended lug bolts without any problems. Just wanted to make sure I'm not bottoming out the bolt or damaging anything behind the bolts

Fit them and spin the wheel in the air and listen closely for any noises to double check, but interesting to know there's a lot of space behind.
