yes m8 it does, I have just phoned spider and they say that cos my engine is relatively new the setting may be to high and I have to adjust it by removing the bottom of the unit and moving a pin over to one side

the only thing that worries me is that if I do, will the potential bhp from the box then be reduced

Ring them back and ask if doing this will affect the performance or just sort out the high idle speed?

When using a tuning box it's not unusual for the MPG reading to be 10-15% optimistic. Most MPG is calculated by using the injector pulse width at a set pressure level. As the tuning box increases the preasure the ECU may be realise this and underestimate the MPG.

It's worth doing a manual calculation to check if the on board computer is lying.

Mine is about that standard, maybe even slightly more at around 800 I think.

I will have a look tonight and let you know.

I can tell u its 800 on my 320d as its got the coupe clocks which show blocks of...200rpm its deffo on the 4th ...so i equate 800rpm.

Bloody hell.....fitted the spider to the car.....planted foot down onto the main road and the car nearly did a 180 degree turn....increase in power is BIG compared to standard....smoothes the roughness out of the engine....and when you just cruise along, returns 54mpg.....RESULT
