330i msp, cold start help

Hey Guys,

Car slightly struggling at times to start but only from cold . When warm starts no issues at all first time . Just takes little longer and bit if a struggle from cold . Plugs 12 months old . Ran through inj cleaner . Still struggles to start . Should I replace full set coil packs ? But then other people saying can’t be coil packs as when warm starts w no issues ? Only problem at cold ? Please help

Sounds more like fuel to me.

Have you checked fuel pressure at cold start?

Are there any fault codes giving clues?

You could randomly throw hundreds of pounds at it and still not cure the fault. You need to take a methodical approach.

We have already discussed this problem on a thread you started in June and just left hanging!

Hey , Thankyou for the reply , I appreciate , it’s niggy fault as mentioned . No fault codes . Sorry for not replying to earlier thread had hard month loosing someone close ! Thanks anyway !

Remove and inspect your spark plugs after sitting overnight. A wet or very black plug will show an injector is leaking. A leaking injector will drip fuel overnight, causing starting difficulties the next morning, which clear once the excess fuel has been burnt off.
