It's on 720p, no sound, I don't have the parking sensor enabled, and I bought a better 16GB micro SD card off amazon.

The problem isn't with the settings, it's a cheap wiring harness that shorts out.

I've had mine for almost a year now and it's still going strong. Easily one of my favourite mods. Great video quality, and I love how it looks OEM. Only issue I ran into was it stopped recording at one point but that was fixed after I reformatted the micro sd card.

I did not use the included canbus module because the canbus is important, and should not be monkeyed with by cheap chinese electronics.

Sorry for bumping unnecessarily... I had trouble finding the iphone app for some reason (it's there in App Store... ) and saw the post about it being taken away from the Google Play store. But it's still there in the Apple App store.

Now that I needlessly posted, might as well mention that the dash cam is still working after almost a year. Just need to hit reset now and then. But I removed the app to make space (iphone eating storage... I eventually upgraded the iOS and it fixed it), and then sure enough Murphy's Law and I coudn't find it when I went to re-install. Solved! Have a nice day!

I'm not sure if I missed it, but is the harness stored in the dome light area or within the plastic enclosure?

How's everyone's dash cams holding up? Anyone figure out how to utilize the parking mode without draining the car battery?

Has anyone figured out any info on the LY-ZK-BM02 module they include? Google gives me zero. Opening it up the PCB looks clean and is label CanDecoder v1.3.

I already know that it offers one-touch auto close of windows and sunroof AND folding mirrors when you lock the car. Very cool feature, much more handy than OEM comfort close.

Also pressing unlock three times will roll down the windows (not the sunroof), also kind of cool.

I would like to know if it does anything else.


Anyway I just installed this dash cam and that module on my e92 today. Looks clean, app works well, camera works well.

Getting both halves of the shell to connect took a bit of effort.

It does not mount exactly like the OEM. It has a peg on each side that holds in in place, but the OEM one also has a ring around the top that locks around a circular metal piece attached to the windshield. It still seems to hold on fine without that.

Getting the lights/sunroof buttons module out required removing both sunvisor clicps in my case. And both clips didnt have the peg which is shown in some videos posted on here. Looks like they switched it up by year or model.

Anyone have a current app that works with this camera? I just installed the unit last night and have the airbag warning coming on. I will try to sort that out today or tomorrow. I have not been able to find the app though. Scanning the qr code in the manual just leads to a sketchy web site.

the android app is hosted at some chinese website you get with the QR code in the book.

It's super sketchy and it will not work on anything android 6.0 or above because of permissions and security things. Which is also why it was pulled from the google play store.

do not recommend.

Pull the card for access to video.
I'll have to look on there and see if there's an ini file to change settings.

Thanks! I usually pull card to check vids. But, been messing around with phone And car stuff, you need the app to configure the settings on camera.

yeah, I had to use my older tablet because the app simply doesn't work on anything android 7.

I considered using blue stacks and doing it in an emulated environment on my PC since the app download is so sketchy.

If you can't find it, LMK and I'll see if I can get the .apk off my tablet and onto dropbox or soemthing.

All the errors people mention really makes me wonder how long before someone actually gets in a situation where it isn't recording during an incident. Personally, I think it would be best to try to retrofit something with a proven track record into the housing and reuse the harness.

Damn this unit sucks balls. I had it for a while and it worked for a little bit, but now it's completely dead. Not sure what happened to it, maybe it overheated or the wiring shorted out, but the dash cam no longer works and the LED lights no longer light up.

What a piece of shit. It was cool and oem looking, but it hasn't been working for a while. CYHY on amazon states "LIFETIME WARRANTY" on their listing, but after countless emails and even a return request, nothing. I did buy it in 2017, but still, it says LIFETIME WARRANTY...I don't want a refund, I just want a working unit, whether they replace it, fix it, or give me a new harness or something. SMH. CYHY is terrible.
