I asked a couple smog shops and a friend who runs one (down in SoCal unfortunately) and we can have EVAP with "INCOMPLETE" status. Everything else has to be ready.

Any idea how that one will be set? Is it related to the DPs?

so technically, we can smog anytime (while car is stock-ish) and won't be due for another two years?
Whoa, that's really informative. I really regret not getting smog certified when I had a chance.

I have a good smog guy that doesn't care about visual inspection and charges $30-$40. PM me if you want your car to be smogged without having to remove your intake or worry about visual at all. You need to pass the catalyst part though so make sure you have a DP fix. This is in San Diego.

The app is called MHD. It can be downloaded on Android devices. You need an OBDII cable, yes.
You can read more about the cable here.

Any way to check readiness with Cobb? I know it reads and clears codes.

Won't pass, have to go to "map 0" on mhd (basically a stock map)

Hmm ok. Is that map a saved version of your ecu prior to a flash or is it an extra map that's included with mhd?

Extra map iirc. Flash back to stock takes 40 min, map 0 takes 8 or 9.

Tune maps ignore rear o2 iirc, which keeps cats from achieving readiness (since the check looks for a voltage drop between front and rear o2 to indicate catalyst function)

No, Cobb does not have the ability to check readiness. I'm using DashCommand app on my Ipad.
