Nah, look at the first one I linked, if you run the VIN on a decoder, it shows the S249A - Multifunction f steering wheel and S255A Sports leather steering wheel options but the car is not a Sport package.

I have an early '08 sedan.
It has M-Sport package and came with 18" wheels. (Sport steering wheel, seats with thigh bolsters, etc.)
Also has the oil cooler on the passenger side inner fender..

I have a 2008 XI with Sport package but with the 17" wheels. No second oil cooler.

Look for a car with Sport + 18" wheel package. Should have the second cooler.

You definitely can retrofit a second cooler. There are a few DIY's out there and there are some decent kits online for purchase.
this makes sense ... so they all have an oil cooler .. but the thing near the OFH is a second oil cooler?

Do you regret not having it?
A second oil cooler would have definitely been nice. These cars run hot as hell. But I guess I don't **regret** not having it. A FMIC provides better cooling for the money than a *secondary* oil cooler, IMO.

I got it off the lot and have loved driving it since say day one (original owner). I don't track it...However a couple of spirited runs in the middle of the summer will kick the temps way above normal and cause limp mode if I try. Also been tuned for years but I'm able to keep temps normal, even on long trips.

Yeah a secondary cooler is pretty pointless overall, unless you track. I have the FTP oil thermostat and I rarely see over 220F in heavy traffic in south Texas where we have over 130 days a year over 100F.

Do you have the sticker? Maybe it was an additional option at the time? Or maybe it was retrofitted?
I have a 3/07 build E92 and have oil cooler.

I went ahead and "retrofitted" the oil cooler myself. Makes about 20-30 degrees temp difference in the oil.
Well my e92 was made July of 2007, no sports package but does have premium and mine did NOT come with one... So I think its fair to say its just those with the sports package.

Nah, this is the millionth thread about it, plenty of non sports have oil coolers, like I said, it's a "Hot climate" option thing.
