Adaptive headlight issue when starting car
I was involved in an accident that damaged my passenger side headlight. Everything still works and just the plastic lens broke. I didn't want to go through the process of baking the light to replace the lens so I bought a used headlight for a good deal. Hooked it up and it works fine except for something I just noticed. When starting the car the driver side headlight does the normal process of adjusting up and down but the passenger side headlight adjusts left and right. Doesn't adjust up and down at all. I tried doing research but couldn't find anything on this issue. Is anyone familiar with this problem?

But does the stepper motor move left and right? I think I've only noticed it move up and down. And is it possible the previous owner might have took it out and re-installed it incorrectly?

I've had problems with my adaptive headlights before, my understanding is they are VIN coded. You should swap out your modules, on the bottom of the unit, to your new "used" unit as a first step. Second would be the arm popped out of the servo thing. Third would be you bought a broken light that may have broken motors or other components?
