I think $700 is a good price for those. Don't think it is that rare as many e92 328i with the sport package are equipped with them. The real expensive ones are the BMW Style 5 rims as they are getting rare.

Every pre-LCI RWD coupe with sports pack came with 197's. Not super rare!

They are an amazing wheel design though, and I would get a set in a blink of an eye as many XDrive coupes came with the not so great looking 185's.

the person that bought em wanted it for his e46 and paid asking price. Do u think it will be a future classic on a e90?

You made the right choice. I'm sure handling improved markedly. Your old ones may have looked nice, but that's about where the advantages stopped. IIRC they weigh almost 30lbs each which is insane. Cast wheel.

I bought them for my e92 335xi a while back. My favorite e9x wheels. Paid $400 5 years ago and been using them as my summer set ever since.

Hahaha omgeee carrying them up stairs was crazy. I had them put as a counter top in my kitchen but i had to sell because didnt have room. They are heavy the apex wheels are way lighter. You have to squat up and carry these

I like those beefy tires. What size wheel/tire did you go with?

In my experience my 200tw tires (RE71R) have lasted longer than I expected. Really boils down to your definition of 'wearing out fast'
