Front Bumper Aggressive Upgrades

Hi guys,
this is my first post on this forum. I just purchased my first BMW(2008 325i LCI). I was just had a query about upgrading my front bumper. Should I fork up the money on an m sport bumper or will something like an aero lip do the trick? Thanks

Pictures of your examples would be highly appreciated.

I really like the M4 style bumper on the E90s, not really cheap. Avg price is $450 Canadian, + maybe $150 to spray and labor.

Not so much a bumper answer but upgrading the kidney grills is always nice

Buy the OEM M-sport and never look back. Reps don't fit well and are generally made of more fragile plastic

Will it fit perfectly or would I have to do a bit of work to make it fit?

The PO installed an Aero lip and it looks good, one day I'll replace it with a Sport bumper.

Where can I find an M-sport for $350? I keep seeing them listed for around $550 shipped.

It depends on who and where you buy your bumpers from. I know there are some shops out there that'll chop and weld together e90 and m2/m4 bumpers and from what I've seen they fit pretty good.

I'm sure anything is possible with an unlimited budget but when people say 'replica bumper' they don't generally mean buying two OEM bumpers and paying 10 hours of labor to make it look good.

Welcome to the forum!

I'm partial to the OEM M-Performance Aero bumpers.

1) They're OEM parts, so fitment and materials are quality.

2) This style is rare to see on other E9Xs. I may have seen 2 - 3 other cars with the same bumper style.

3) The bumper was shaped in the BMW wind tunnel and optimized for aerodynamics. Note the similarity in shape and flow compared with factory WTCC, BTCC, and GT builds of the era. The resemblance is striking.

4) Get one sooner than later as the parts are becoming harder to source.

Eat your heart out. It's just a rabbit hole of $$$ flying out the window but damn do they make some quality bumpers.
