edit: The workout is done. Woot!
Pizza night over here as well. It's been months since we've had it and it was well worth it.
You can never go wrong with pizza. I'm trying to decide if I want it again tonight or if I should roll by "The Hat" instead. Choices, choices!!!
Pastrami?
That or their burgers/fries.
Haven't been there in years.
Same here. I figured I might just roll over there since they do have pretty tasty fries. I should probably cook more, but I'm lazy as hell on my off days.

One of the major grocery stores here does rewards points giveaways for holidays during the year. For Easter, they were giving away spiral hams, turkeys, or frozen lasagnas. My vegetarian in-laws picked up a frozen lasagna for us, and it has been taking up space in our freezer for months.

Last night, we decided to have it for dinner. Upon looking at the box, it was a VEGAN lasagna. In other words, no cheese, meat, or anything else found in a lasagna. It was lasagna pasta, some sort of mystery bread crumb batter moistened with a non-dairy mystery liquid, and a few tablespoons of frozen corn and peas. No Italian seasonings whatsoever...and no pasta sauce!

I *love* vegetables, but could not stomach more than a few forkfuls of that slop. If I would have known what it was back at Easter, I would have dumped the entire uncooked tray in the woods and watched the hungry animals walk around it in disgust rather than waste the space in our freezer.....

I never liked the marketing trend to name foods as things they aren’t to try to make them appealing. If it’s good enough for people to eat there should be no need to pretend it’s something else.

My MIL and half of the in-laws are vegetarians, who strangely only shop in the organic aisle because they apparently like the taste of bugs in their veggies.

This product was made by a major frozen lasagna company, and in a box that was clearly labeled as vegan organic. I have zero doubt that it was intentionally obtained for what it was, and my DW didn't notice. I just can't for the life of me figure out why tomato sauce was not vegan enough for a vegan lasagna?

For those not familiar with the difference, vegans will not eat animal-derived products like cheese and milk (although bugs in their organic produce are apparently acceptable). Vegetarians eat cheese and stuff for the most part, only avoiding meat.

You haven't truly lived until you've been dragged to Thanksgiving dinner at a vegan restaurant by a clan of vegetarians...and watched them turn their noses up in disgust when *they* couldn't even identify half the vegan dishes on the menu. After eating a plate of burned corn for Thanksgiving dinner, I walked across the street to Micky D's to pick up a 20-piece McNuggets for the hour-log drive home.....

Eat too much at Harvester yesterday, three types of chicken, sweet potatoes with unlimited salad with blue cheese dressing joined by alc free Becks. Sweet was 'Death by Chocolate' and a cuppucino so taking it easy today with a club sandwich, haven't decided what filling yet.

Eating Indian tonight... chickpea curry, meatball curry, butter chicken, palak paneer, chicken samosa and basmati rice. I picked it up at the Seaport Market on the weekend. It's a gorgeous evening to eat out on the deck and it's so easy to just heat everything up instead of actually cooking.

BEEF. It's what's for dinner.

Uhhhh, Dr's advice, STOP eating Beef Sir. Try leaner cuts of chicken or Turkey.

Doc, ya gotta go of something, might as well be what I like and not what i have to eat.
