Everything contracts in the cold and expands to a nice tight fit in the heat. As far as the door locks, it used to be a big problem before the days of key fobs. I am sure 95% of us are using the remote especially in this cold (unless your battery bites the dust).

In Jersey temps reached what "feels like" -4 at a point in this past brutal week. My car also has new unexplained rattles and oddly enough the other day it didn't even have a cold start, it went directly to a normal idle. I think we'll be fine.

Funny how you mention going from mid 40's to freezing because we had about 0F last Tuesday and this upcoming Tuesday its supposed to be 55F..... Oh how I love Michigan.

Hate it when they salt the roads like that.. The other day I had the unfortunate experience of walking from RenCen to the Auto Show at 0 deg and boy, were the pavement and roads covered in white-out!

Yeah, gotta love MI weather.
