As others have said, the 325 won't be extremely quick or anything, but it's still a proper BMW if you ask me. You've still got a sweet I6 under the hood, among other things, after all!
- I definitely preferred the e46 to the e90 styling, but the e90 is slowly growing on me.
- The speed is plenty for me at this point, while insurance rates are high (<25y/o) and like you said that I6 plenty of passing power for I-95

At any rate, glad you got updated with an e90... time to mod... hahaha.
- I'm at UM School of Med downtown at the UMB campus
- Definitely time to mod, already ordered some bits

The happy ending is when you wake up 35 y.o., are done with your residency, and you have an excellent salary and rewarding career! (well maybe the excellent salary is at 40)

Remember buddy your car is no better than a 2013 328i apart from a few ponies. You can change it to look brand new with a few mods. IE my N52 is a base model 2006 with no packages at all. Slap on LCI halogens and the front of the car looks like a 2009+ and put blacklines and they keep the age of the car more current. Not to mention some rims and a few cosmetic mods and you are set!

Yeah, I'm planning on getting some AE's sometime down the road, but they aren't necessary right now. Some blacklines would be a good relatively cheaper mod. And new wheels will come sometime during the summer. Not sure what you meant about the horsepower though?

So, back in high school, I saved up $8000 working full time summer jobs and being frugal when given money for birthdays and holidays. My senior year I was accepted to every college I applied to and as a reward/birthday present, my parents matched my savings to buy me a 2000 323i:

Fast forward 6 years later, and I'm half-way through my 3rd year of medical school, when the 323i decides it wants to crap out and need a new radiator. So I find a "reputable" shop, not my regular guy since I'm still away at school. The guy orders the parts, calls me 3 days later to tell me it should be done that day. Then I get a second call about 3 hrs later as I'm leaving the hospital early to pick up the car to notify me that the owner of the shop took the car out for a road test and totaled the car......

Turns out, a female in her twenties driving a mustang decided to run a red light and send my baby (and the shop owner) over a guard rail and into a ditch

Regardless of what really happened, I was rather pissed....so I had to drive a shitty Altima for 2 weeks until I found a a helluva deal on an '06 325i.

Only had to contribute $1k out of pocket (after insurance reimbursement) and I'm back in a much newer (to me) Bimmer!!!

Here's a link to the pics:

This is exactly what my parents did with me too. I saved up throughout high school, summer before college my parents matched me 50/50: ended up with a loaded 07 335i e92 thats already had mods: aero lip, big fin, black rims, black breaks etc. (24k)

Sweet, even with inflation factored in thats pretty impressive! Must've had a solid High-school work ethic...good luck in the future man.

P.S. I would like to thank the E90 forum for a solid welcome to the community.
RIP-My E46
