I can't decide between the Bell M2 and Bell M4. Both fit great, the M2 seems to have more ventilation than the M4, but the M4 has the "new" static shield. Anyone have any insight?

Both are basically the same price ~ $369.

I think that may be more than I want to spend M2 Pro is a few hundred more than the M2 (I problay should have clarified it in my first post). But I appreciate the suggestion

I have owned the M2 before. I have a pyrotect now..and will be getting an M2 Pro next. I want it to be more lightweight. Good luck.

Do you have enough headroom in your car with your helmet on?

I know sitting upright is the best position to sit for control. I'm 6'0" tall and I know my head is not far from the ceiling now (obviously without a helmet). I think my head will hit for sure. I definitely have the seat as low as it goes.

Any tips?

I rake back my seat a bit..I have a long torso..I know exactly what you are talking about. it is quite a juggle for me when I get to the track..I sit in the car in the pits and adjust mirrors..seat (forward/back, rake, rotate)..and the steering wheel (up and down). I eventually get it do a decent place..but I also open up my moonroof panel (not the glass part).

Thanks, I went with the M4. I tried the M2 and Pyrotect Pro Air, but the M4 fit the best. You really do have to try the helmets on in person. I went with flat black, it was too sexy to pass up.

Cool, Bubbles I tried my helmet again without the head cold and fits great.
BTW I got out of my flight on May 03.

Pretty much what I'd thought. Stinks because right now I'm in a really good position for driving. I'll have to play with the position for sure. I wish the seat would go down farther!

this sounds really ghetto, but there is an easy way to get about 1/2" more headroom. Just reach under the seat from the back, you'll feel 3 long springs. They fit into mounts at the back of the seat. If you pull them back and up, you can pop 2 of them out (the 2 outer) and it will let the seat drop a bit lower, about 1/2". I used to do this with my e46 M3, and it will work with the 335i. Takes maybe 5 minutes once you get how the springs mount.

It will stretch the leather a bit, but not too much, since you really only go about 1/2" lower and if you only do it at the track, it'll never be noticeable.
