DCT Shifter Retrofit Kit For E9x 3-Series

For Sale, Motive Mods Retrofit DCT Shifter kit. Will fit all E90 3 Series models.

Description,
This German engineered kit is completely Plug-N-Play and will replace the OEM steptronic shifter with an illuminated BMW DCT shifter. Time and effort was taken to develop a circuit board, which allows for OEM like functionality and permits the shifter to turn off when the vehicle goes to sleep. This is a very important feature, as it prevents the vehicle from having high battery drain issues, which can lead to costly replacement of the battery.

You are getting a full kit, DCT shifter, leatherette boot integrated into the shifter, DCT baseplate and Motive Mods instruction kit.

This kit sells for $435 shipped to the UK plus TAX/VAT, that's around £350 landed.

SoooOoO tempting! If only this came up about a month back, I'd have snapped it up. Great mod for someone wanting to do the retrofit without getting their fingers in a twist!
OP Why are you not installing this?

Change of mind, did offer it up and it really lifts the interior. But i'm sticking to my Performance BMW shifter as it matchs my handbrake and my steering wheel.

Sport button isn't functional but the button lights up if you press it and no the park button doesn't work.

Oh yeah it will although you'll most likely have to use your existing base plate

Don't like the existing base plate. I'll just retrofit an m5 knob.

Don't need to, the DCT base plate fits fine.

You cant turn it off... its a transmission type.

Sport button holds the revs a bit longer and sharpens up the throttle response.

it is a gd price.
i think the m5 retrofit costs about 150 though... but i guess you get the updated base plate which i think is a bonus.

Maybe bring it down a tad?

At the end of the day... this mod is fairly expensive for something cosmetic. Very few would consider it... You can buy the ebay version for 75 which looks exactly the same without the baseplate...

If you buy this and you run into any trouble give me a shout. I am in hampshire too .

It is just pop off the old one and plug in the new one and pop back on. No need any tools of what so ever. It is so simply.

The wiring side is plug and play but the knob requires you to drill the shaft to install a screw, this keeps the knob firmly in place.

Instructions are very informative, Yoro35i sounds like he's your man if your not upto the challenge of installing it yourself.
