Faulty Fuel Sender

So I filled up a couple of days ago and my fuel gauge needle really hasn’t moved much compared to normal. I know it hasn’t because the fuel range goes down. I used my Schwaben scan tool and it didn’t throw any codes. I was wondering if the fuel level reader in the tank would even throw a code if it wasn’t working properly.
