Bumping this compilation thread, lotta good data.

In case anyone hasn't seen Antigravity has a plug n' play Li battery for us and the m3 guys, drops 43lb. If you're needing a new battery anyways for 250-300 and wanted to drop weight, pretty good option. EAS recommends the 40ah and even though it's a lot less than our 90ah the 1500ca makes up for it (from what I've read) and the AG battery has a auto-restart feature, haven't been able to find a bad review or instance happening yet

Whats the over voltage cut off? Some modern cars run at 15v for short time as part of maintenance cycle.

My oem battery was the 90ah and I’ve had the 30ah Antigravity for just over a year and it’s performed flawlessly. So yes the 40ah is certainly good to go, even the 30ah if you ask me.

Nice! Good to see another positive review for them on our platform, how did you end up coding it?

Also EAS is a forum sponsor so I plan on purchasing from them, hopefully they have some package deals going on for us or something

No idea, I know for charging purposes it has a management system to prevent over charging.

Per Antigravity instructions I coded for the lowest output AGM. I can’t remember offhand what all the options were but I think it was 60AH. I purchased mine direct from Antigravity and I have no regrets. The battery has some nice features besides the weight loss also, I have it set to send state of charge updates to my phone every 24 hours. It also has a built in jump start which I haven’t needed, even after sitting for a week with comfort access the battery has never shown less than 97% charged.

You know what the battery does to protect from overcharging? It disconnects itself from the car.

Just letting you know as this happened to me with similar battery.
Voltage went up near 20v. I'm lucky nothing burnt out.
Just make sure they have tested these in the car you have.

I removed the plastic covers under the car. I'm talking about the ones under the passenger & drivers seat. About 2 lbs of sand, rocks, and dirt came out of each side. lol

I wish they had quality options for carbon fiber fenders and hoods for these cars. That's 50 pounds of the front easy

Do we not have plenty of options for CF hoods also idk about m cars but non m fenders are plastics so getting CF doesn't seem like it would save a lot of weight

The seibon carbon fiber ones are pretty trash in my honest opinion. Fitment is whack and the clearcoat starts to peel quickly after a few months.

Carbon door cards and roofs are now an option, along with a very expensive seat delete lol

Battery Cover (With Tools): 3.1 lbs
Trunk Lining (both sides) plus rear plastic piece- 5.2lbs
Interior Trim Pieces- B Pillar and door flooring- 3.8 lbs
Easily Removable Seat Belt Pieces- 6.8 lbs
Hood Cowling, Cabin Air Filter, wire holder, ECU & ABS Covers - 10 LBS
Trunk Bottom- 9.6lbs
Trunk Insert- 1.5lbs
AMS Exhaust= 35lbs...40 lb savings
AR Design downpipes- 12lbs...3lb savings over OEm Downpipes- (15lbs)
Carbon Fiber trunk- 12lbs...15lb savings over OEM Trunk
Forgestar Wheels-18.5-19.5lbs..6lbs each wheel, 24lbs total
Recaro Pole positions-total of 83lbs savings

Weight ADDed
AMS Intercooler ??maybe 10lbs heavier than OEm
Complete custom undertray/ diffuser/Splitter/sideskirt fences- 65lbs (will be making writeup next)
Custom harness bar with Schroth Profi II 6pt harnesses- 18lbs

This would equal 255lbs lost and a gain of 93lbs...so a net loss of 163.

In theory; this would put my car at 3386...so with an actual weight of 3388 I'm only off by 2lbs!!
OEM Roof = 22lbs.
Challenge/IND Distribution CF roof = 11lbs.

Necro thread bump, I know, but I was searching weight reduction and came across this. Thought I would add a few things.

I just put some polycarbonate rear windows in my sedan.
https://www.condorspeedshop.com/prod...39683764617262

I'm also going to be installing lightweight door cards in the back. Possibly in the front as well in the future.
https://www.hardmotorsport.com/hard-...nels-full-set/

Between the plastic windows and the lightweight door panels, that saves 16 pounds.

Lots of places have carbon fiber hoods and trunks for our cars now.

Sedans still have metal front fenders. You can get fiberglass or carbon ones:
https://www.hgkshop.com/collections/bmw-e90/products/front-fenders-7
That company also sells fiberglass front and rear doors and other parts.

Old thread, but just weighed the car today.

3/4 tank E92 CCC / Auto 3,430 was the weight. Have hardly “removed” anything inside.

Carbon roof swap
Front brakes (calipers lighter but disks are not)
Fog light delete
Muffler delete w/ resonators
Apex wheels 19”
Carbon hood (with a stupid amount of clear coat)

Added - spoiler, front lip, side skirt extensions
