Yeah I noticed my tires turned to complete mush by the end of the day. Not just sticky, but literal mush. Maybe they will perform better when the tread gets worn a bit lower... They didn't look like the wore all that bad at all though:

You can actually see that maybe for 1-2 laps I was right on the wear indicator at 26-28psi cold... Seems like these tires respond well to low tire pressures. Coming off at 36-38psi hot I was clearly still way above the wear bar. Maybe I should've tried bleeding down as far as 25 lol.

Also note how rounded the tires are. The compound may be sticky, and the tire may be wide, but the shoulder is not square like the RS3 or other track tires. This is probably the key reason why lateral G's were down. Again, hopefully that will improvie as the mushy tread wears down a bit.

Overall a decent tire. I think the tread just needs to be worn down a bit. Most tires in this category come with tread that is 2/32" less when brand new. That extra tread depth doesn't help things on a track. They seem to be less mushy now that they've worn down a but. Stereo g is much less vague.

I actually think that they make a pretty good tire for the street. Main benefits being that they are stickier in a wider temp range than other tires I've used in this category. Straight line acceleration is also good. They seem decent in the rain so far, but I expect that to drop off quickly once tread wears down just like any other 200tw tire.

Some of the previous comments about wear and grip were specific to roadcourse work. I think roadcourse work will improve once tread wears down a bit. The tall tread these tires come with helps with extending life on the street, but leads to a vague and mushy response on a roadcourse until it wears down.

I'm pretty happy with these tires. I have covered about 4k and 4 track events where I was able to cut few seconds compared to my times on the RS3 last year. The RS3 lasted me about 6k and 9 events. I honestly don't expect the RSR-R to last 9 event, probably just 6, but they are half the price. So there is nothing for me to complain about. For the money I can buy another set an cover about 12 events instead of about 9 on last years RS3's. Also, I run mine at 33 cold and they do squeal. After the first track day they got lot quieter. Front camber -3.5 rear camber -2.2. Toe was set originally set to 0.05 but now I probably different. Here is how they look currently:

Mine are done. Got them in Feb for daily driving and track use. They have seen at least 30 passes. Good whole they lasted. LoL

They are decent. I like them for autocross. I'll have to see how they do at the next hpde now that mine have worn down a bit and they seem to be a bit less mushy. They are also providing audible feedback now too.

Camber looks to be a bit excessive based on that pic, but overall you clearly got your money worth out of the tire lol

I used to that all the time with NT01s and RA1s to even out he wear but not sure if it's ok to run these backwards?

I did that with the Hankoo RS3 and was OK. When I did it with the Federal RSRR made the car feel loose.

Thanks. I'll avoid that then so far the wear has been pretty even compared to the NT01 which needed a lot of camber.

I am considering these tires and I was wondering how much heavier these are than other street/Track tires. I just bought a set of new lightweight wheels (TR Motorsports MT1 18x9) and I don't want to add all the weight back on that I just took off

I ran into these tires while looking on ebay. I was looking at getting some 265/35/19's, anyone have experience with that particular size on a pre-lci e90? any rubbing issues? If they run wide then 265's is really 275, I have experience with a 275/35/19 tires in the rear and I had major rubbing issues on stock sports pkg suspension. Just wanted to make sure before i buy

They are heavy for what they are - I'm on 17" ARC8s, and I believe they are in the high 20lb range for 255/40/17

Yeah I'm looking at 255/35/18's and they are listed at 27.5lbs while the other tires I'm looking at, the R888R and the RE71 are in the 25-26lbs range. The 595rs-rr's are less than half the cost though...

When I switched from bmw 19" with run flats to Apex 18" not run flats the total weight lost was 48lbs if I remember correctly. It was combination of lighter tires and rims but I don't think that tires would be that heavy to negate the weight savings from the lighter rims.

BMW 18x9 on average are 25lbs. I believe MT1 are much lighter. So even with a tire that is in the heavy side you still lost some weight. I would imagine...
