As for the Cars & Coffee, I don't really care for it, not because I don't like exotics, but I feel like on the technical/tuning side of things, there's not much in common between our cars and the exotics.......I'm more about learning more about our platform and meeting enthusiasts. Possibly even set up some DYI meets as well........

But......I've been wanting to ride in a COBB stg.2+ car, since I've never been, and see how that compares to my Procede........hint, hint, LOL.

I agree and that's exactly what I'm looking for as well. As for this saturday, I'm interested in the 1M. Plus the COBB guys are cool

I dynoed just after I got my DPs and stage 1 installed. Got 355 whp and 367 wtq...

Anyways I'm running stage 2 sport now. I ordered the ETS 5" FMIC. Once that's in, I'm good for stage2+.
Yeah would be cool to compare our setups, so we'll do definitely go for a drive. Plus I've never been in a Procede tuned 335i either

355/367? That's pretty good considering it's a mustang dyno.....I think I did 367/393 FBO with Procede Rev.2

I guess that's on par, considering the difference being 12 hp, which is what a CL exhaust gives you.......

So how different is the Stg2 sport vs Stg1?

With all the maps that got released, I'm honestly confused right now. I mean the stage 1 I dynoed with at the time used to hit 14-15PSI. while my stage 2 Sport doesn't hit more than 13-14 PSI. I tried stage 2 aggressive, and that goes above 15 PSI and definitely feels much faster then the old stage 1. Whether they are playing with more parameters and making more power with slightly less boost is beyond my comprehension. We should have a talk with Tim

so Stage 2 Sport > Stage 1 Sport, but I'm not sure how much it differs from the old stage 1.

I'm planning on hitting the dyno once I get stage 2+. I'll let you know when I do, in case you'd like to join.

and if I get the free Dyno this Saturday , i'll try stage 1 vs stage2 aggressive

I'll be at the cars and coffee meet by 9:00 AM this saturday.... i'll head over to the shop about 10 AM. There appear to be a couple of tunes scheduled at the shop for Saturday. We'll run the baseline runs between tunes. If that doesnt fit with our schedules we can reschedule for a different day.

How would you guys feel about a BMW only dyno day at the COBB SurgeLine shop? Free dyno pulls for BMW folks would be a great way to draw some attention to the fact that COBB Tuning runs a facility right here in Portland. Custom dyno tunes are already a reality for us using AccessTUNER pro for BMW. If the off the shelf maps don't work you or you want MORE we can do it. Need a map for 100 octane... I can do that. :-)

Dyno day TBD.

Regards
Tim Bailey

Looking forward to meeting some folks tomorrow. I'll be at the starbucks cars and coffee - white 1M - until around 10 AM and then i'll head to the shop.

In regards to the dyno.... i'll give some free dyno pulls to EVERYONE that shows up at the cars and coffee and then comes by the shop. Here is the only bad news - the dyno "might" be busy all day tomorrow. But, i will honor the pulls later. My plan is to put together an all BMW dyno day sometime in the near future to kick off the release of BMW COBB Tuning software.

Really wanted to tune the 1M before tomorrow but the week has just been too busy.

What time were you at COBB?

The meet was cool. It's always nice to meet locals and to put a face behind forum nicknames!

I've got everyone's email so i will contact you directly about a future BMW dyno day. Once we set a date i'll announce it here to bring in as many folks as possible.

It was really great to meet everyone today..... i'm in love with that 458. Anyone else have some car lust happening this AM. And the 335is. That was beautiful too.

Thanks again folks

The 458 and the R8 had me drooling haha. My first time getting a chance to really look at them upclose and check them out.

Thanks for the compliment on my 335is, can't wait to find out what she's putting out on the dyno stock. And your 1M is beautiful as well!
