Hello everyone,

I've read my way through the thread here and I'm thrilled.
A friend and I have been working with the 35D engine for a long time, but we are currently at point where we don't know what to do next.

We hope that one or the other can help us or give us a tip where the problem is.

The vehicle has the following setup

BMW E64 635D 286PS M57Tü2Top

upgraded turbo
Wagner intercooler
r90 fuelpump,
downpipe (3.5 inch)
fluid damper (vibration damper)

already checked / repaired:
Vacuum hoses exchanged
Solenoid valves (all 3 (turbobypass, wastegate and compressorbypass exchanged
Turbo bypass (fixed - adjusted)
All vacuum hoses tested with a vacuum pump
Boost pressure system pressed with 2.1Bar and no leak

Following problem:

The vehicle does not come above 3.5Bar Absolute (2.5Bar)

I have attached the log here.

Log:

test_9_2021-10-15-123742.zip

Chart:

The performance chart was also very strange.

The drop in performance at 3000rpm is a bit fixed

I hope someone has a tip that would be very, very helpful! Thanks very much!

We have pretty much the same problem with e60 lci. Car is with rebuild engine with cast iron block, stiffer valve srpings, r90, 2700bar rail sensor, custom intake 100mm, custom exhaust, 600x300x76 FMIC, new vacuum hoses everywhere, every single pressure converter tested with ista and with vacuum meter. HP turbo ball bearing and billet compressor wheel (stock dimensions), LP turbo ceramic ball bearing 82mm compressor wheel and larger turbine wheel with cutback to reduce EMP. Problem is Car does not want to spool the lp turbo. We've got 2.7 bar at 3300rpm constantly rising up to 3.0bar at 4400rpm and 3.05 at 4500, 3.1 at 4600 keeps going max to 3.2bar at 4800rpm. Fuel is maxed out, r90 starts to give up a lot. Anyone had experience with 82mm compressor wheel? We are pretty dissapointed from the results as the standart 77mm hybrid gives better power figures and better spool...

I see that youre logging fuel pressure....but no mention of MAF readings or boost pressure....missing a few parameters to even make any suggestions.

Who got any hybrids recently, ive talked to AArod (TME) and they seems to stop offering their Hybrid options, is this true?
If they indeed stopped offering hybrids permanently, what would be our second choice guys?

You're probably looking the wrong website.. ProTurbo is out of Finland. Won't find anything better for these vehicles.

I would perhaps try Jimmy @ Vex Performance, locally here in Calgary.

Jimmy@vexperformance.com

He is quite good at sourcing parts

I'm about to install some RB Two Plus turbos. I'll post up once they're in.
