I'm not sure yet. In the next few months I think its going to come down to what I find. All my cars have been manual except for this wagon and my past E92 M3 DCT. I wouldn't mind having DCT again. We'll see what happens.

Are you doing a manual M3 powertrain?

I think I'm going to delete. I never really liked those front washers, it always made my car dirtier. I rarely have it dirty enough to interfere with the headlight beam. I saw you relocated using your original wash caps. It looks real clean.

As for the headlights I'm not too worried about it. I bought brand new OEM non-adaptive bi-xenons so I don't need additional sensors nor FRM3. Since I have an LCI my FRM2 should be good enough with the right coding on FRM & CAS. The splicing should be relatively easy with the shop I use. They've done my MINI Cooper OEM Xenon Retrofit and F150 OEM Xenon Retrofit too.

I'd love to see your entire build. Its always interesting to see a few of the steps involved. I did the same on my E46 sedan with M3 everything. http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...497&highlight=

Also not sure if yours would be different from mine, but it took a long while to get the headlights to work. Splicing, soldering, programming. And in my case I had to get a brand new FRM module.

Nice.

I was gonna do a build thread but I got lazy. I may do one...maybe.

Also what fender liners do you plan on using?

Also you're gonna have to cut/modify the fenders.

Look how the OEM e90 m3 fenders bolt on where it meets the side skirts....now look at your OEM e90 ones. They bolt up differently and don't use the same locations

Feel free to add pics on here

I'm going to use OEM E90 M3 errrrthang. Whenever I run into a roadblock I'll attack it there but it seems like I'll be able to use it all.

Did you ever attack the rear end or side skirts? Not sure if you stayed at that stage or went further, in-construction?

You're absolutely right. I'm going to put everything OEM on. The E90 M3 fenders use a different bracket and location that is bolted to the body. I bought all those brackets since they were pretty cheap. There are also tab brackets from the fender to side skirt. We'll make sure everything goes in the right places so its a real OEM installation.

Can u share those part numbers for the fender brackets and maybe pics?

I just did the e90 m3 front end with the Duke Dynamics powerdome hood. (I didn't want to deal with hood vents with debris and water)

Stock side skirts and stock rear bumper for now

Oh and I reused my oem fender liners. Just chopped them shits up to fit.

LTMW made some sort of bracket and mounted that part kinda weird. It gets covered because its underneath the side skirt anyway

Your hood looks super clean. I honestly didn't even think there was another E90 M3 Hood option unless I wanted to get crazy with Vorsteiner. In any case, I want the wagon to look exactly like OEM with OEM parts so its just a specific look and feel I want.

I should be getting some new pics today. I got a message that said that the fender washer tank may need to be slightly modified to make the new M3 fender work. For now it was just moved a bit to see how precisely the panels would fit.

This should help with all the part numbers:
09 Bracket, side panel, entrance left 1 41317180343
09 Bracket, side panel, entrance, right 1 41317180344
16 Mounting bracket, sidewall, left 1 41008044985
16 Mounting bracket, sidewall, right 1 41008044986

PLEASE KNOW THAT THIS CAR WILL NOT SAY "M3"... there are custom stickers replacing those fender badges

Subscribed. Every time I start thinking about when our lease is up, I look around at other available wagons, which is to say, the only one (E350/E63), and I'm just not moved. I keep coming back to the idea of buying this one and modifying it into a quasi-M3 wagon. Good stuff!

You should swap a S85 with the M3 DCT. I think it would be something beautiful.

I am going through this conversion right now. I bought redEYEjedi's wagon and patiently waited about 15 months until I found the perfect donor M3. Project is well under way now...

That e60 though Is it manual? Definitely my favorite BMW ever made by far. That LSB E46 looks beautiful as well, hope you still have it. As for the E91 build, if I were in your position I'd probably already have the M4 in my garage, lol.
