Ways to make it a little bit louder?

I have an 08 328i sedan. I have a muffler delete done but am wanting something a little bit louder.

I was thinking about removing one of the cats but I think the o2 sensors would get messed up?

What else could I do? I still have my resonators but how would that make it sound with them deleted?

Deleting your 2nds and your res with a straight pipe will prob make your ears bleed.

exponentially.... Srsly you wont like it, and i doubt anyone riding with/near u would either. Ever heard a ricer with a full 3 inch exhaust and the ungodly horrid rasp coming from it. Yeah thats what you get when you have NOTHING to keep the garble coming from a motor. But if loud is what you want, by all means go for it.

A quick search and there are a bunch of threads about it... They liked it.
I just saw a YouTube video of a e90 with muffler delete and 2nds deleted... I liked the sound>.>, sounded like a muffler delete just a bit louder.

Haven't decided yet if I'm going to do it but what do you guys think the cost to get it removed would be?

less than your muffler delete, less pipe to replace and no bends.

Removing secondaries will provide slightly louder and deeper tone. I would keep the resonator though. I haven't done it personally since the muffler delete is loud enough for me but by all means you should try it if you're trying to make your car louder.

level 1 loud: muffler delete
level 2 loud: muffler + resonator delete (and gets a little 'honda civic' sound - if that's what you're going for)
level 3 loud: muffler + resonator delete + performance headers (headers usually give a more 'muscle' sound to the setup
level 4 loud: muffler + resonator delete + headers + primary or secondary cat delete..
level 5 loud: remove everything down the exhaust pipeline, new headers and put an X-pipe in the middle of the chassis, and .5"+ increase in exhaust tips (a "horn" effect) ... you'll be really obnoxious at this point when you drive down the street at 2am in the morning (i'd call the cops on you, that's for sure)

**mix and match these to get your desired sound. i'd have to agree with c_jeong89 though, keep the resonators. (if you do take them off and you show your face at a bimmer meet, everyone will make fun of you for being a ricer lol)

I think I'm going to try it then...

And I dint have any bender pipe for my muffler delete they just ran a straight pipe lol.

I will most likely keep everything as is (resonators) and just take the 2nds out.
I'm not trying to sound like a ricer I just want it a tad louder than muffler delete but if it wouldn't change the tone that much that'd be great.

I'm scared it'll sound like shit though haha I was worried about that with muffler delete too and it didn't so I guess I'll just have to go for it

My muffler delete used very little pipe, maybe 2-3 ft

They cut the muffler off at the back of it then just put a straight pipe in replace. No bending

I'm getting my muffler cut off in a couple of weeks (only one shop in town and they're busy). I'm still debating on either to buy a 335i-style bumper with splitters or just route the pipes (twin tips) on that one side.
If i get the bumper, i'll throw 3.8" tips on both sides instead of the twin 3" i'm getting currently...

Getting black chrome tipes, angle cut. ^__^

Or you could just get the PE and not do any deletes.
