losing oil?

it's been almost 7k since i did my last oil change and now i just got the low oil light. Just ordered a oil change package from tischer about a week ago so it should be here anytime. But i wanted to know is it normal to lose this amount of oil? Going to look for leaks and put down some cardboard down in the garage just to see it it is leaking.

I believe that is normal for our cars, looks like you lots 1qt in 7k miles. Don't worry, do a search and you will see countless threads about it.

That was the situation in my case, when the oil indicator comes on, one quart will bring it back to the MAX line.

Be carefu with this. I had my light come back n three weeks after puting a quart in. It said I was low a quart so I put two quarts in in less than a month. Took the car to the dealer last friday and they said my sensor was bad. They drained my oil. I had all 7 quarts plus the two that I put in
