You have a better chance of causing a leak by not doing the job properly, my gasket isn't leaking and I'm not touching it. I look inside my engine bay 1 per month.
I do the same but I would recommend you also check your coolant cap. It's the way I discovered mine was leaking. There was a bit of sludge (oil/coolant mix) under it and when I changed the OFHG and OCHG I saw a bunch of oil on the left rear side of the engine block which was caused by it.

But not one drop of oil on the front end of the engine where the belt was.

Replace that gasket as soon as you get a chance. I wish I would've done it way before I had to. I ended up having a belt slip off and had to replace front crank seal. I would've saved a lot of money if I would've done this a long time ago.

I just did my OFHGs and replaced the belt, too. No evidence of oil in the coolant, but the gaskets were leaking onto the engine and belt area a fair amount. 105k miles. I just bought the car, this was the first thing I took care of. Also did a full oil change, and I plan on doing oil every 6k or so - not a fan of the 15k oil changes. Very happy to have this leak resolved.

I replaced my OFHG when I had to take the oil filter off for a alternator replacement. (Sad story that ended well https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...5&postcount=49.)

I do that too. Especially when it's something that can be a pita to get to. I should have just done it when I did my starter since I already had the intake off. I did every other thing under it that was likely to fail within 150k.

You can also stop buying the very long life stuff and instead get something specced more for your environment. Better coverage and cheaper oil.
