What could be happening here?
Is my tire rubbing on something? Or is this from driving on the flat tire?

If it was rubbing you would hear it, its like a buz sound that loud as hell and vibrate the whole car.

That looks like normal wear on a rear tire. They are usually a bit cambered for stability and will wear the inside down first. If you let the tires get all the way to the wear bars, the inside will often show the steel belts. I'm not sure how much adjustment BMW's have, but even with my camber fully adjusted to compensate, my rears wear just like this on my SUV.

That's likely from camber in the rear. You wouldn't typically see that from driving a short distance on a flat. I would recommend getting an alignment when you get the new tires on.
