Question Headlight washer cover differences - Standard vs M Sport bumper

I know there is a different part number for headlight washer covers for standard bumper (61677892647 / 61677892648) and M Sport ( 61678041138 / 61678041137).

I would like to transfer my headlight washers from my standard bumper to an M Sport bumper (I will be cutting out the openings for the washers). Will the covers fit and sit flush?

Does anyone know?

Thanks!

They will not if you like to have things look properly.
The "legs" are longer on base covers, and will stick out few mm when washers are recessed.

I would delete the washers all together. Those bumpers look so much better without those out of place covers IMO.

Thanks. I guess I'll have to buy the covers then.

I do want to retain them. They are useful during our salty winter driving here and get rid of light ice/snow build-up too.
