lower tire pressure helps poor runflat performance

I'd noticed lately the runflats not screaming as bad when I've been cornering. well the pressure was down to 25 psi

turns out running pressures that low helps handling

although I'll pump it back up soon, just wanted to pass that along

In the interests of comfort I have been running my 16 " tyres at .2 bar less than standard with no ill effects on handling or noise.

Won't a lower pressure cause increased shoulder wear, just as increased pressure causes the tread centre to wear quicker??

there are some strange effects due to the runflat action of these tires

with them aired down they grip better and squealing is almost gone

its not only runflats but any car.. if you go to the tracks everyone drops their tire pressures for better traction.
