Looking good hoper.

I'm tossing up between getting rid of my car or buying a new engine and do a dct swap with big single.

Hard to give up that N54 life. (except when it doesn't work)

Thanks Kookie, yep the n54 certainly gets its teeth into you, kind of easy to extract some extra from them, and if you're up for some maintenance they're pretty good IMHO

easy for us to say they need lots of maintenance, but then again, anything that has some performance potential always does

this forum has been awesome for me, lots of good help and a pretty easy to follow list of what to do if you want some reliability

I'll be keeping mine for a while, next will be upgraded twins or a single, probably in about 12months, I'm still thinking twins for my power goals, but the lure of the single is always there, lots of pain to get there, but once you're there the options are endless...

I can't wait to get mine back on the road, worried that the turbo rebuild kit hasn't shipped yet, want it before Chrissy as I have time to do the work just after Chrissy, fingers crossed

Put the gearbox back in, included replacing all of the shift mechanism bushes and rubbers

Bloody hard work getting these things back in on your Jack Jones, but managed it in about 2 hours

They are precision raceworks coils - aftermarket "dumb" coils specifically made for the n5x

Fitted a bit of turbo stuff today.

Double heat shielding on oil feed and single sheathing on the drain.
Fitted O2 sensors have plenty of slack and they screwed in by hand then snipped them up tight.

Just showing how it all fits.

Still a few hours tomorrow putting rest of downpipe, wastegate plumbing, connect oil feed and drain to block.

So much easier then installing twins.

Also you might want to move the washer water filler pipe. I ran mine down through the drain near the corner of the windshield away from the hot parts
