Do you use touch or no-touch car washes? I mostly wash mine myself, but will use a no-touch from time to time, so hopefully that wouldn't result in a bent plate?

You should be fine if you wash the car yourself. I am too lazy and inept to wash my car myself

LOL, I think I might pass then. I was under the impression that it would be nice and chill like our mini BMW meet. Thanks for the heads up Kevin!

Cars and coffee is nice and chill lol, it's actually a really cool way to spend a Saturday morning! I think what Kevin meant is that he hopes we don't get competitive for parking spots like the Audi guys. I can't speak for anybody else, but I'm pretty sure I won't be there at 4.30am

Wow, that first bracket isn't too bad for something that cost $4!

HPFP letter

Chaps, I just got the HPFP letter extending my HPFP warranty for 10 years/100,000 miles. Did anyone else receive this?

So, I'm going to get some sort of like black paint and I'm going to tint my front plate. lol

Honestly, I might just leave it off... I seriously hate that law and it's just this one cop and I never see him (probably because he's hiding in the bush with his silver Impala). lol

We'll see.

Nick
It's a little on the rough side for sure, but for a temp mount I guess it would be OK. Fear not, I wouldn't have it on my car

I've rarely see any cops around EP - maybe they just hang out near your apartment waiting for you!

I got the letter quite some time ago. Maybe even a year ago - can't remember exactly. Your guys' cars are 09 right? I have an 08 so maybe that's why I got it earlier.

Anyway, have any of you actually had HPFP issues (besides Nick)? Touch wood I haven't had any yet...

Hey Anvar, came across this while searching for a weekend fun / semi-track car. You have a soft spot for these right?

Oh good find Gary! That car does look clean! Those things are brutally fast when tuned. Unfortunately, porsche parts aren't very cheap.

Anvar,
Have you seen the 2 (one black and one yellow) with blown chevy small blocks running around town? They usually make a showing at Car Craft summer nationals. Not really sure about the inspiration, but cool non the less

I actually haven't seen those, but those do sound interesting. I've only been here for a little over a year. I am looking to get a bit more involved in the car scene in the summer.

On a side note, how is your son doing? How is fatherhood treating you?

Are you sure the yellow one wasn't a 928? I saw stripped out yellow 928 with a blown V8 at Cars & Cafe last year. It was LOUD! I'll see if I can dig out a photo when I get home...

Gary, Yup they were 928s I ment to type that in... They seem pretty neat

Anvar, So far so good! Thanks for asking! He has been really easy on my wife and I. I'm waiting for the sh*t to hit the fan! Then again it might never happen.

Tomorrow it the big day for my window tint. I'm pretty excited.

I am tempted to go a check it out this weekend. I am torn, as I would like an old M3 too! What to do

edit: what I really need is one of the garages at Motorplex
