I'm looking forward

What will be the flash time for the initial tune? Will tune updates flash quicker like MHD?

In the first post:

App Main features:
Ability to flash your transmission controller (TCU) on your BMW with custom files.
The flash method is 100% safe. The TCU can always be restored to a working state, even if the cable get's pulled during a flash procedure.
Read/Delete TCU trouble codes (free)
Backup your TCU and restore to stock at any time you want
Choose from pre-defined maps in the xHP InApp-Store, or build your own files along with the community. From the day the app get's released you will be able to download a XDF file for user with TunerPro from our website.
Switch between maps in 4 minutes.
Pricing: 119 USD for the main flash license, which enables you to do as many custom flashes as you want. The OTS maps will range from 49 - 89 USD, depending on type and vehicle.

You've just been struck by the BMW/ZF mess. Forget Realoem.

What's your build date?

If you need a beta tester, I volunteer. But, I can't say I would even see a benefit with comfort or sport for my driving.

My key concern is limiting wear and fuel use. D likes to keep revs low but shift a lot. DS likes to keep 2nd up to 2250 rpm. Not sure whats better, I tend to use DS on the shorter blocks in my commute and then D on the part that has less stops.

What exactly is optimized warmup??? I know the tc stays unlocked and D drives like DS up to approx 45 C coolant. Is that changed and if so, HOW? Again, my annoyance is directed that I will not be able to try and see what I prefer, instead up front have to pay. Rather use it for a tune where I can delete/etc to save much more fuel.
We're here on E90Post, so these things refer to E90 cars. ;-) I haven't even started to look on X5 calibrations.

It would be nice to be able to define the max rpm independent of Comfort/sport/race.
What should be the use of it? Your ECU defines the max. RPM, not the TCU. The TCU just initates an upshift right before, or not.

From another thread, us guys and gals with 2006 model cars, it says that there is no guarantee whether it will work for us or not so how can we be sure without spending our money first? Last thing we want is for us to purchase and then for it to not work.
I was under the impression the transmission was the same throughout regardless of year...

The transmission is the same, but the controls changed. I know someone swapped in a newer control unit in to an older tranny and it seemed to work fine. He did it to flash alpina in to it.

Closed Beta for N57/M57 starts tomorrow. Release will be 1 - 2 weeks later, depending what shows up in the field. 135/335 will follow in March.

Best way is to connect xHP to your car, it will tell you instant. (before spending money) Second best is to read your Hardware number from the transmission. It should read 7591971 or 7591972.

ZF has changed the TCU layout radically during production and BMW introduced the new layout on different dates in their various cars. When the tool is out, we will get more and more data from the field and can give more precise answers upfront. Sorry, but it's impossible to extract from public available data.

I didnt make myself clear.
I know redline is define by the engine ecu. In a MS mode with automatic upshith disable, as on your vídeo, its all fine.

Now on D or DS (and stock MS) the autobox change gears at redline, but many tuned cars have top power way before redline.
So the stock rpm upshift point was good for stock power but not to most tuned engines.
Even on stock sometimes i just feel that it should change sooner!

I dont want to change engine redline, i just want to be able to change max rpm upshift point. It would be a nice option.

You can control that of course with a custom tune, but it won't be changeable on OTS files. It's not a single value, it's 21 modes multiplied by 5 upshifts. No way to let users choose conveniently in the app.

Please read first post! Yes, we will work towards support of most of the BMW lineup. Next on the list are 135i/335i.

Ok. I know how to use TunerPRO. If the XDF file has then identified i will try that way.

Can this be used in conjunction with MHD flash? Alpina transmission flash can be used with MHD I believe.
