I want to make my exhaust overall louder and more aggressive. And downpiping since I was tuning so may do a 2 in 1.
I do have stock exhaust. I'll make a video when I have the down pipes installed. One with just DP + stock IS exhaust and another with DP + 2ndary cats removed with stock exhaust.

Ok cool thank you so much.

So with DP and 2ndary cats removed that is totally catless right?

335is leaks

I recently acquired a '11 with a DCT. So far I am pretty happy with it but is it going to need some work. Looks like the gaskets and seals on the transmission need to be replaced; the pan seal for sure but I haven't checked the mechatronics/side cover gasket yet. If anything at the top is leaking then transmission will have to come out. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is causing the leak at the bottom of the bell housing? And from the bolt above the exhaust? Thanks!

I wish LOL It is one of those DIY garages for around 30$/hr. But it is definitely cool, just not cheap if you are doing a big time consuming job. I might have to use them if I have to pull the transmission.

Dam!
Anyway, for your question, I had a side pan leak and to fix it and reuse my existing fluid I was quoted $1100.
To do a full server of filter replacements and new fluid it was $2K

I just installed Cobb catted downpipes on my 335is, but I don't really like the sound above 5K rpm when driving. I don't know if you call this Rasp, but it sounds ricey.

How can I possibly fix that? Would installing 1792 resonators in place of the secondary cats do any good? Anyone has this setup?

I have the same issue with my VRSF downpipes, it's terrible. I just bought all new gaskets and am going to be uninstalling/reinstalling because I have a leak on the exhaust side of one of the dps.

I wonder if it's the exhaust flap we have? My '09 N54 all had a flap on the stock exhaust, but I never had any rasp issues there.

The exhaust flap has nothing to do with it. It's just closed at low rpm and open at high rpm.

But the rasp is a known issue with catless downpipes like your VRSF. My downpipes are catted. From what I've heard, I'm not supposed to have this problem.

But yes, definitely fix that leak first. It changes the sound for sure.

I've got that exact setup, no complaints

The sound doesn't change after 5K rpm? When accelerating... Not idle.

Not the vent opening and closing, but the additional hardware that's located within the exhaust. Besides the mufflers, the rest of the exhaust system is exactly the same amongst E92 N54s.

I'll get this exhaust right eventually. Sucks because the stock 335is exhaust note is orgasmic, I just had to tinker didn't I..

Yeah, it's very loud and raspy, impossible to notice if it's present. It's like some switch gets flipped at 5k RPM

Hey fellow IS owners, I'm looking at making my front more aggressive.

Anyone has any idea what I should do? I have just enough leftover pay to squeeze in a front mod I think.
