Front strut top nut torque specs 27 ft-lb??
Hi All,
I fitted some lowering springs this afternoon, the install went smoothly no issues, I have torqued the front strut top nut to the only spec I could find online, that being 27 ft-lb. Can anyone confirm this is the correct torque rating? |

Just answered my own question by downloading the Bentley workshop manual.
It should be torqued to 47 ft-lb (64Nm) looks like I'll have to tighten it up a wee bit. |

I have a friend that owns his own garage, so I borrowed a set of strut nut sockets, similar to the ones linked below.
https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Laser-Tools...id=11017010216 It's a piece of cake with the right tools, I easily re-torqued both stryts this evening by just loosening the chassis brace and swing it out of the way, removing the dust cap and tighten holding the strut using a 6mm Allen key. |

Hi Guys, does that torque spec (64Nm) only apply for the 335i or will it be suitable for my 325i as well?
thanks |
