Yep! It is turning into a favorites on there for sure. I submitted a special edition Audi TT a few months back with 93k miles and one owner and they denied it. Two months later the EXACT same car down to the color/mileage and ownership history popped up on BaT (wasn't the same car I was selling just exact same specs) via one of the 'regular' BaT sellers.

Haven't been paying attention to the E91 market during Covid - anyone got comps for a low-mileage 2010 E91 M-Sport (RWD, 6AT, 67kmi, bluewater/oyster, iDrive/PDC, 2-owner/no accident, CA car)?
Or should I just take it to BaT and hope for a bidding war?

BaT for sure. 6MT wagons are doing stupid money on there right now.

I think its 6 speed automatic? 6AT, but either way should get good money - sounds like a nice example

Yeah - AT. It's a nice one, just too many cars and need to downsize a bit.

Just to throw this out there. A guy I know on Instagram is selling his red pre-LCI E91 for $5500. Seems to be clean and for the price could be a nice winter car or daily!
His IG = e_collin

Whelp, 2 months after my first car purchase it's gone up to the great big garage in the sky. Totaled in a pretty scary highway pileup. Thankfully no major injuries. As the great Thom Yorke once said, an airbag saved my life
Bad time to be back in the market I suppose, although the accident has made me really think about getting a daily with more modern safety tech... Or maybe I'm just being a weenie Last edited by bendavp; 11-21-2020 at 11:49 AM.. |

Wow! I hope you (and any passengers) are ok! No weenie or anything - you pick your priorities, and I bet many people would choose that one as well. I just added kid #2 on Thursday, so that’s definitely my #1 priority.
Thankfully most modern cars seem to have figured it out. I upgraded from a 2000 Nissan Maxima to a 2005 Acura TL because it added side curtain airbags. Since then, most of the safety feature additions seem to be around sensors and cameras for parking and pedestrians and lane changes, but I’m sure there are other things I don’t understand. |

I've found E9x gen cars to be very safe and a good middle ground for me when it comes to a modern ish car with good safety and something that isn't basically a driving robot. I hit some tard that crossed a 3 lane road in my 128i on the side doing like 50 and I didn't even feel it. Can't imagine that in my old 98 civic. Sorry someone ruined your e91

Now I'm thinking my next purchase may be an F31 w/Driver Assistance Plus pkg. Although I'll sorely miss the steering feel and NA straight6 from the E91 among other things, I think prioritizing safety over sportiness in a DD isn't unreasonable. Coincidentally a buddy of mine is now selling his E36 M3 as he's being deployed to Japan for 2 years, so if I can scoop that as my weekender and the F31 for a reasonable price, I may not lose that "ultimate driving machine" feel after all |

Thank you, excited to see how AW over Oyster looks in person
Yes there was a deposit ahead of me which I honestly thought that was it. Turned out that the person with the deposit was another dealer trying to buy then flip the car so they immediately gave his deposit back. Soon I get a text message telling me it’s mines if I still want it...too good to be true tbh because normally once someone puts a deposit that’s it. Apparently there was another person behind me with a third deposit and like another 15 interested buyers waiting. Now gotta figure out how to own two wagons and the garage space, which cars stays outside . Maybe time to find a safe offsite storage for the other cars

Niceeeee. Glad someone on the forums got it instead of a dealer for flipping it. I was tempted but had just bought a bluewater so I posted it. Speedy shipping pickup too it seems. I am waiting for intercity lines to pick up mine in CA. Maybe they'll pass each other on the road... haha |
