Misfire codes. Injectors?
2007 335i. Started getting misfire codes when I went to stage 2 MHD. 1st and 2nd gear pulls strong to red line then 3rd pulls decent to about 5k then a bit lame between 5k to 5700 and engine light comes on...limp mode. Just put new plugs n coils yesterday and it's still the same. Misfire cylinder 4. 5. 6. Possibility 3 injectors? Or any other ideas? And misfire at low tank level...29d9.

Does the car start normal and still drives? That's all the codes you have?

Car starts fine and idles smooth...and runs fine with no stumbles or jerkiness.... only when I floor it in 3rd when it gets to above 5k ish it starts to give up and then the engine light comes on and reduced power. Then after about a minute the light goes off and back to normal. 29d2, 29d1, 29d0, 29d9 = misfire at low tank level, 29cc= misfire at multiply cylinder. :-( Brand new Ngk plugs, perfectly gapped and brand new NGK coils yesterday to see if it would fix the issue but it's still the same codes?

If you flash back to Stage 1 do you still get codes/misfires?

Try to get a log if you can. See if high or low fuel pressure is dropping. If it's fine, it's most likely the injectors. If not, that points you to the fuel pumps.

I'll look at logging. The HPFP was renewed 20k ago. So if it's not injectors it could be the LPFP? Do i log using MHD? Never used the function for logging...lol

Alternatively, you can put it in "auto" mode, and it will start and stop the log automatically. Then, upload the file it creates to datazap.me

Go through the MHD thread so you know what to log. Do you have any hesitation what index are your injectors and how many miles on the car.

Misfire codes remedied following the re gapping of the Bosch 3 prong plugs to .022". Symptoms began following install of Jb4, catless downpipes, intercooler, charge pipe, BOV and DCI. Curious what you gapped the NGK's at that you installed? I have NGK's at the ready for my next change and it appears they're gaped larger than .022" which is the gap recommended by many!

Right so, I have a lot. It would be much appreciated if someone could have a look at it to see if they can spot any issues. https://datazap.me/u/snedanator/log-1535113819?log=0&data=3-21

So today after I done the log I decided to flash it back to stock and try a log, but on idle started running rough then normal driving the engine light comes on. So I flashed back to stage 2 and done another pull from 3k, started the log and it only got to about 3.6k then engine light again. So I tried it again from 3k and it pulled pretty hard to about 5.3k, then eventually got to about 6.3k then engine light again. Second gear is fine all the way up. It's running rough on idle now and a little stumbly at the start of the revs. Also smelled a bit fuel, it wasn't coming from the engine bay I'm sure, but smelled like unburnt fuel from the exhaust? Also getting new codes on top of the usual misfire cylinder 5,6. 2A2C , 29E1 mixture control 2? I'm no expert but I've been sniffing around the forums and some say it's the injectors, or possible 02 sensor? This is the log that failed about 3.6k https://datazap.me/u/snedanator/log-...og=0&data=3-21 And this is the 3 run log, probably similar to the first initial log https://datazap.me/u/snedanator/log-...og=0&data=3-21

Much appreciated for the look at the logs. If u have a spare few minutes could u look at my last post and the logs please... And yeah I'm starting think it's the injectors myself. Funds permitting I was gonna get 3 asap and do bank 2.... then when I have cash I'll get the other 3 done. I was just wanting to make sure that it was defo the injectors and not something else.

Your bank 1 and bank 2 afrs deviate from each other wildly, 99% sure it'd be injectors. You cannot buy just 3 index 12s, you have to do all 6 at once, or so I've been told. You can mix and match under index 10 but index 12's can't mix with others. Unsure about index 11's.
