Gearbox Type

Hoping someone can clear up a stupid question

Looking at some E92 335 N55 auto cars and lots coming up with listings stating its a DCT gearbox.

I thought all E92 335i auto where simple steptronic 6 speed autos with normal torque gearbox. Looking at interior pics it comes with same stick as my current F30 335i and thats not a dual clutch

Any clarification woudl be welcomed

I think the EU/UK models could have been equipped with DCTs, could be wrong though. You should just stick with your F30 though

The US spec was 6 speed auto and I believe the rest of the world got the DCT.

^Yeah pretty sure DCT is an option everywhere else.

If an E92 has the same electronic shifter as your F30, that should be a DCT model. The regular auto has a mechanical shifter.

Yes it is and has been done, but its not cheap. Much cheaper and easier to swap in a manual.
