Budget Upgrade?
Hey,
I currently have the absolute base hifi in my 2007 335D, ie 1 speaker in each door, 1 each side in the rear and the 6.5" sub underseat. I want to add tweeters as the first port of call. Am i best sourcing Top HiFi midrange and tweeters (I actually already have one of these, thought i was bidding on a set but it was only a single), or going for aftermarket? I don't want to spend more than ~£100 on this really, and all the components everyone are recommending are 2-3x this amount (Ie focal or morel) If i can source a matching set of top hifi for the other side, i imagine this will bring the sum total to around £60. How will they compare to something like this? http://www.vibeaudio.co.uk/car/liteair-speakers/ The liteair 4 look to be thin enough and the right size to fit in the stock mounts with just the 4 to 3 adaptor. Any other reccomendations? I will eventually add an amp and then change the underseats to SWS8 or similar, but this is my first port of call. Thanks! Tom.

If you add tweeters to the stereo system it will sound bad as its eq ed for no tweeters. There are also other reasons listed why you can't do this on the cheap. |
