Help with rail pressure

I noticed that After some pulls and when I come to idle my rail pressure will jump up to 2300 psi and a notable ticking coming from the high pressure fuel pump area but if I tap the gas it goes away. This is a newer fuel pump that I just changed because I thought my last one was failing because of the same issue so I know it's not the high pressure fuel pump can anybody tell me an idea on what they think it is

Try a different map or back to stock, see if it tune related. Easy and free to get that out of the way.

Normal operation I think. Fuel system doesn’t have return line back into tank. Doing WOT would demand a lot of fuel. Then you are at idle.

I never considered this, if you do a pull then all of sudden go off throttle the rail pressure will stay high until pressure is release. I have always drove after a pull so never experienced this.
