Cool, I do live at the La Villita apartments. I do have a detached garage so perhaps that's why you have't seen my car or perhaps I'm just driving too fast

I am currently looking to find a bigger apartment or townhouse - possibly in Dallas or Las Colinas but everything here in Las Colinas is sooooo expensive per square foot.

Haha, I'll keep you guys in mind, but it will be a while before I even get the car back. You guys will probably be shocked, but I'm really thinking about switching it up completely and getting an 09-10 Honda FIT. That would allow me to save quite a bit for the next 3-5 years, since I'm going back for grad school in the spring. Plus...I'd like to get married in 3 years or so.
It really sucks to try to think smart financially, but I plan to get back into a BMW in 3-5 years.

Haha...yeah I know. I don't know if I'm going to be able to survive it either, but I'm looking at the light at the end of the tunnel. 3-5 years...and I can be back. Grad school + ring + wedding is a lot of money

yeah totally. What about finding something better but hybrid? Is it a gas mileage thing or car payment thing?

Mike, if you part out, I want dibs on your shift knob. I've been waiting forever to get that shifter from UUC.
I understand, and really applaud you for putting other priorities in front of cars. |

Hey guys! Newbie here from Las Colinas. I am also new to moding stuff. Looking forward to gain knowledge on the forum. Anyone coding in the metroplex? I would like to have my amber blinker deleted on my 07 E90 328i. Thanks a lot!

If it makes you feel better I'm doing about the same thing. I came VERY close to switching to a brand new Fit, but ended up with a '98 CRV I scored for $2800 with low mileage and excellent condition (the extreme cheapness in me really kicked in). I actually love the versatility of it, plus who else can say their car comes with an integrated picnic table in the trunk? Anyway I'm looking at ring + wedding + house. It's a long road ahead but priorities change as life changes. I'm still excited with what's coming ahead. In any case I'll be back in a BMW down the road, hopefully without the dreaded HPFP issues.. or random sunroof exploding.. or mechatronics sleeve failing.. all within 6 months. Anyway good luck with getting all of that resolved!

take a look on the e36 page Michael. You can get a nice 95 M3 for around 7-8k. Do the work yourself, but for that price you can get one running in good shape. Way better than a fit.
