Question 09 335i - no CPO from Carmax

What do you guys think? Is it worth buying? I looked at the car and drove it and everything was very fine. There is very minor damage to the front bumper (maybe got hit by a shopping cart or something, or hit some sort of post idk), and the rims have slight scratches so I assume a woman had been driving it .

This is a CarMAX car and I checked the record and it came originally from Florida. I don't know if that is good or bad. Other than that the car seems pretty perfect for me. I wish it had the M Sport Package but whatever. I'll survive. Haha...
Also the car had been sold the same day I looked at it 2 weeks ago and it seems like the guy returned it within the 5 days you have to return the car for a full refund. Then the car was transported to the Torrance CarMax, then to the Ontario one, now it is back in Riverside and they ask $1k less than when I test drove it.

Please let me know your opinion.

Thanks GUYS!

I bought mine form Carmax and took it to my local Indy for a PPI. All checked out so I kept it. I wouldn't buy it without a PPI. GL

Thanks for your comment. Doesn't CarMax already do a inspection of the vehicle? Wouldn't that be kind of the same? Did you have to pay for the PPI or did you get CarMax to pay? Also did you purchase the vehicle and do the PPI with the knowledge that you can give the car back for a full refund within 5 days or was this PPI really done before purchasing the vehicle? Also the the Inspection find anything wrong with the car?

Thanks!

Bought my 07 335i(E90, sport pkg, cold weather pkg, 33k miles) from CarMax about year and a half ago. Took me a while to find one with a manual tranny. Listed for $24,895, and after extra warranty(good til 2016/100k miles)/tax...total came out to about $28k. Right after purchase, took car to BMW for any recalls/warranty work since I was still under BMW factory warranty(4 yrs/50k miles). After a couple of visits before that warranty ran out, BMW installed new fuel pump, 2 injectors, ecu update, syn oil change, & front/rear brake pads all for free. Now that's service!

Yes, Carmax has their own inspection but I wouldn't trust them 100%. No, a PPI would be a more thorough inspection. Yes, the PPI will cost anywhere from $100-$150 and Carmax will not pay for it. Yes, I purchased the car from Carmax with the understanding I could return it within 5 days. My car passed inspection so I kept it
