**2008 18" m3 wheels on a 2007 335i coupe sport NEED HELP**

Hey guys a need some help, I came across some 2008 m3 sedan 18" wheels with Michelin pilot ps2 tires. I just put them on my 2007 335i coupe but can already tell the 265-40-18 tires in back are way to fat and here that the front tires will rub the inner wheel well. So my question to all of you is what options do I have to be able to make these rims work with out changing the suspension and if I can't how much can I sell them for. Ps front tires have like 70% tread and back have about 60% and each rim has very minor curb rash

You need the right size tires AND a fender roll in the rear.

There have been a rash of these questions (M3 wheels on regular E9x cars). I do not know why, as there are plenty of threads on every forum saying: "You cannot use M3 wheels on non-M cars due to the offset differences and rim width."

The offsets on M3 wheels are smaller (20mm IIRC) than regular E9x (~ 35mm). The combination of smaller offsets and wider tires cause the rears to not fit at all without rolling the fenders. Spacers only make things worse.

Some people have been succesful using two sets of front rims (plus spacers on the front) to create a non-staggared setup.

Change the front tyre to 235/40/18 or 225/40/18 and rear tyre to 265/35/18 or 255/35/18 and roll your rear fenders.

Yeah that is kinda funny, because M models don't really have that aggressive wheels and fitting them is quite easy. Most of the time it rubs is because the tyres are too big/wrong height ratio.

I have done a lot of research but known of the forums gave me any solutions. What do rear fenders looked like rolled compared to stock? So if I need to get different tires how much can I sell the michelins I have because i know those are crazy expensive.

Rolling the inner lip of the fender will not change the appearance. You are just creating a few precious millimeters of additional room. And just FYI, you can't roll the fronts because they're plastic.

Garage List
2013 BMW M3  [10.00]
2015 BMW M4  [0.00]
2013 BMW F30  [0.00]
2014 BMW F22  [0.00]

Definitely need shorter tires! A 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 with a roll in the rear should do the trick.

My buddy was telling me to take the rims to his buddies CNC shop and trim off a 1/2 inch off the back of the wheel so it sits in better then i won't have to roll the fender. Thoughts on this

Never been a big fan of milling down wheels to fit. You are messing with the amount of material around the lug seats and whatnot. I've also been afraid of vibrations if it isn't done 100% perfectly. That said, 1/2" is about 12mm, waaaay more than you need to take off here. 5 to 7mm would do (with properly sized tires of course). I just don't get all the fuss to fit M3 wheels with all the issues it causes, especially the 18s. It's not like they are great looking wheels or anything. There are 100s of wheels that fit.

+1.

Get the right tool for the job; that is the right wheel that fits.
