Hey guys looking for some help to upgrade my E90 N54 335i Xdrive exhaust on my car, what do you guys suggest that i start with, catless downpipes, PE mod, secondary resonators. Let me know what should be the first don't wanna do this all at once.

Thanks in advance

exhaust on this car doesnt really give you horsepower so are you in the market for a better sounding bmw or you want to get some power ???

downpipes will give you the added power with a bit of a deeper spooling sound.

i would start there, best of both worlds

E90 or E92/93? E90's got an added resonator behind the rear axles, while 92/93's had an x-pipe.

I have an E90 and deleted the secondary cat and rear muffler. Absolutely no drone in the interior, and the nicely loud on the outside with virtually no rasp. Kept the rear resonator.

I definitely don't want to do a muffler delete. So I think I'll start with the catless downpipes see how it sounds then work my way back from there.

Downpipes 100%

Catless downpipes allow the turbos to run a little cooler, dissipate heat faster, once thats done everything else will just add to what ever sound your looking for.

I personally run full catless, there is a little drone, but not enough that the kid can not still fall asleep during longer drives. Also not loud enough to bother you on long drives, IMO

Good luck with which option you start with. Please update us as to your choice, Cheers

Swap in a set of 335d mufflers, they're straight through from the factory. Definitely will sounds better on the cheap.

Great Idea, but something to remember that the XI needs different downpipes due to clearance. Just make sure it fits before going this route.

I wasn't suggesting the entire exhaust be swapped, just the mufflers from the 335d.
