Wow very very nice trip! I see you went to holland/amsterdam.
Im glad to see you liked our Queens-day. In every big city there are masses of people drinking beer and having fun! I was 3 days totally wasted haha. It was awesome. Girls were for the picking etc But im so jealous of your car! Great ride! Thnx for the great story and photos! I wish you luck with the waiting time. Greetz

I rode that same cable lift up Zugspits and then snowboarded down the other side. What a great place! I also spent some time in Fussen and the Neuschwanstein are. Your pictures bring back great memories!

If you don't mind sharing what were your total travel expenses to do this? Gas? Hotels? Road Tolls?
I am hoping to be able to do something similar in about a year and want to know how much I need to start budgeting.

It was a month long trip, so it wasn't cheap. As I mentioned at the beginning of my post, I was paying my brothers way (although if your married, costs would be similar with a spouse) Air fare was really reasonable, about $800 per for round trip. Gas for the car was about $1000 for the month with $90-$110 per fill up depending on the country. For the whole trip I averaged 22mpg, including city, highway, 2 trips to Nurburgring, and lots of 100+ Mph cruising. For the whole month in hotels it was about $4,500 with nothing too fancy. You could end up spending a lot more, or a lot less depending on what you are looking for. German road use tax and city congestion stickers are included in the program. The other highway toll stickers came out like this: Czech - $25, Slovak - $15, Austrian - $10, Swiss - $35. Most of the other EU countries, to my knowledge, don't require highway toll tags. I couldn't tell you how much I spent on food, and random stuff along the way, because I didn't really keep track of it.

wow, fantastic shots and great review! thanks for sharing with us.
btw, for the front EU plate, did they have to drill holes in your bumper or did they just use adhesive? I want to do Euro Delivery, but I would hate to bring the car back here with holes in the bumper. |
