N54 feels slow

My E92 335 has had walnut blasting but it still feels extremely slow espically at higher rpms. Can barely get ahead of a civic.

Thanks for replying I wasn’t sure what information was needed. What program can I use for logs? All I have is an OBD scanner lol I can purchase smtg though I’m gonna need it later again anyways. No tune. It’s pretty much all stock other than 7.5in VRSF intercooler, BMS DCI, OCC, VRSF charge pipe and BOV.

Your cars not even tuned yet and your wondering why its slow? You actually have to tune it first my friend. If you do not have down pipes you can do MHD Stage 1+ since you have the intercooler.

It might be slower than what a stock one should be. What does your code reader show? Any codes? I would buy mhd as you are planning to and then analyse logs from that.

Just ambient air temp high circuit something like that I’ll pull out the full code once I go home. No boost codes though. Yeah I’ll probably purchase it next week. Idk I just thought it’d feel a little faster.

i have the same exact problem but im on stage 1+ mhd, 7.5in intercooler, vrsf intakes, vrsf chargepipe with 50mm tial bov, i recently changed every single vacuum line, absolutely no codes, does have a wastegate rattle and wastegate c clip missing in action, bov sounds loud as shit though, i recently logged a few runs on protools highest i made was like 7psi of boost and not constant at all, im saving for a pair of oem turbos with less miles, i believe my turbos are on their way out anytime now, 182k miles

I’ll be changing vacuum lines soon since it’s a cheap and easy repair. I don’t see an issue with my turbos I’m at 92k miles. I don’t have an o ring on my chargepipe I cannot fit the charge pipe onto the throttle body with an o ring.

Well there’s a big issue right there.
You’re not holding any boost at higher rpm.

Any reason I wouldn’t be able to fit it on though?

Wtf lol. Well there's your issue maybe?

What do you mean you cannot fit the charge pipe onto the throttle body with an o ring?

Yeah it doesn’t slide on fully with the oring on I tried putting oil on it to and it just wouldn’t fit. It easily slid on without it tho. I thought I would get a boost code if it was a big problem.

I mean there is definitely a bit more resistance with the O ring, you do have to give it some force to "slide" it back. You have stock charge pipe to I assume? Makes no sense it would not fit with O ring.

But yeah I must say if the you were loosing that much boost wouldn't it throw a code hmmm. With datalogging and reading the full codes it would give us more info as pretty much just speculation now but definitely I can see not having an O ring potentially leak some boost yes, and thus feeling slow.

Put the o ring on the charge pipe and put some oil around the ring with your finger so it slides in.

It is a big problem. Probably without a tune, the stock psi isn’t enough to through a limp mode.
My tuned n54 has the slightest leak from the intake manifold gasket and it was putting the car in limp mode at higher boost.

Ohhh I see. Okay well I ordered the o ring cause I ended up losing the old one. I’ll update once I try to get it on.

It's probably going into limb mode every time you start the car and give it a little gas.......

It sounds like you really need to learn a lot about these cars...including how to pull codes, run logs, and know what you are looking at.

Good luck..you are in for a journey for sure

HOLY!! THIS IS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT SO MUCH FASTER. I got the o ring on and new vacuum lines. It runs beautifully although my expansion tank split in half the second day of driving it😂. Luckily I was gonna replace it anyways and I have free roadside.
