new sub enclosure review

I just got my new sub enclosure from Rogue Development USA installed today. They will customize it to the specifications of your chosen subwoofer for an excellent price.

I am using the new Sundown Audio SD-3 10 D4 wired for 2 Ohms paired with an Alpine MRV-500 amp. This sub has been specifically designed to be used in a .5 cubic foot net enclosure.

The quality of the fit is excellent. It almost snaps into place in the corner. The carpet isn't an exact match but it is definitely close enough for me.

It really sounds amazing. I highly recommend both the enclosure and the sub. It hits really hard but sounds very musical. My previous set up was a zenclosure mounted rear facing JL audio 12w3v3. I was able to get this 10 set up to hit harder without overwhelming the factory hi-fi system--it is hard to explain--it just sounds really tight and solid. Plus I get the added benefit of almost my entire trunk back.

(I am not affiliated with either company)

Looks good, do you have a link to the company that made the enclosure and do you mind if I ask how much it was?

I see you already have the link...

The cost was 300. Not cheap but less than the wickedcas guys and it feels like an excellent product. Very thick fiberglass and like I said, the fit is perfect.

I have a friend who owns a local mid/high end audio shop and when I told him the price I could get the enclosure for he told me I should do it because it would cost him more to make one for me.

I continue to be amazed at that Sundown sub...google it for threads talking about it on the audio forums...it was designed with small enclosures in mind and it continues to amaze me every day.

Sundown is one of the top subs and amp companies in the car audio world. Been a fan of them for 10 years
