Radio level doesn't go higher anymore the faster you drive

I noticed it being sporadic, but when I drive faster, the radio level doesn't always increase.

Not sure when it started, but it used to work fine before.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Amp, head unit or??

2006 330i

Thanks,
Jason

Go into the menu and set the level.

Go into the menu and set the level.
I actually hate this feature.
You didn't say if you have idrive or pro radio but its
adjustable on both.

I have idrive and the setting is set all the way to max.

Odd is I went over a bump just today and it seemed to come alive again.

Can't recall this problem ever being reported here before.

Battery is new as of 3-4 months ago. I'll try the connections. Are you referring to the ones behind the radio or are there others to check?

Behind the radio at the amp and TCU.

Behind the radio at the amp and TCU.
You probably have L7 . I think that function comes
from the head unit though as its common to all three
sound systems.
Also just because something is new doesn't mean it works.
or that something else hasn't caused it to drain.
