Just out of curiosity, what were you engine RPMs at 120 km/h (75 mph) in 6th gear?

Cheers!

Thanks for the info. I believe my 330i (6MT) has a 3.15 diff. 130 km/h (80 mph) spins the engine at 3000 RPM in 6th.

Just as the pandemic hit, and the borders closed down, I had a 3.64 diff waiting for me in upstate NY at a UPS Store (hopefully it still there, over 2 years later )

Your car must have pulled super hard with that 3.91!

Cheers!

Yeah it definitely pulls great! I still have a 3.91 too haha.

Might be worth calling the UPS store, because I suspect they don’t hold parcels that long

How has the diff affected the fuel economy?

If you haven't heard from E90yyc, I have a set front/rear 3.91 diffs. From an E91 with 120k. Located in Airdrie.

Wow, I just saw this thread pop up again. When the border opened back up, last year, I called the UPS Store, and the diff was still there. When I went down to pick it up, they only charged me the basic holding fee: 7 bucks!

So, now I have the 3.64 diff here, and will hopefully get it installed this summer.

Cheers!

I got one sitting in my garage off from 328xi auto which is 3.91 diff as well. Maybe I’ll start a new thread FS.

Refresh my memory: Was your decision to go 3.64 deliberate or was it a matter of the 3.91 not fitting? I know that diff was factory for 330xi, but can’t remember if there was more to it.

It was a deliberate decision. I wanted a better ratio than the 3.15, but I also wanted to retain as much fuel economy, for longer trips, as possible.

My 330i is RWD.

Cheers!
